Heart Attack to a member's home
Well, I just had the most fantastic day! Today is P-day...and the Elders planned something fun! The whole district got together, went to Momochihama beach, and played some beach volleyball. It's been warming up, so it was perfect!! (But still cold enough to need a sweatshirt) I haven't had that much fun in a long time...running around with the sand between my toes...my hands are super sore from hitting the volleyball in the cold...but man! It felt so good.
What's even better is that we were FINALLY able to teach a lesson to an investigator!!!(Sort of ) Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!!!!!!!! Amazing. Last week we had so many appointments...but every single one of them fell through, and we ended up with all zeros for our numbers again. Anyways, we were supposed to meet this girl at church on Sunday, but because of whatever...she couldn't come and we bumped it to today (Monday) It FELT so good to be teaching someone about Joseph Smith for the first time, and introducing the Book of Mormon! This is what it's all about! I hope we can do more and more of it soon.
Unfortunately she lives in a different area (at least and hour and a half away) and we weren't able to set up another appointment with her. Lame. But we're going to continue following up on the phone...and maybe something within her will change.

Also, we saw the most amazing miracles this last week. Thank you all for your prayers! We got multiple referrals with good prospects, and even had a FAMILY who walked in to the church! It was a mom a dad and their son, and they were interested in getting their son involved in church activities!!!! Unfortunately we weren't there when they came, but it was after church, so there were still alot of members lingering around the building. Thanks to our wonderful ward mission leader's wife, we were able to get a phone number and they said they wouldn't mind listening to the lessons! I guess their son is an only child (probably 10ish) and they want him to get involved in activities with other children. They said "we're bukkyo(Buddhist)" so they wouldn't join the church or anything...but seeing that they were going to let their son get involved, they wouldn't oppose hearing what we believed and whatnot. What's even more amazing is that they said if their son wanted to be baptized into the church, they wouldn't oppose, but would leave that decision to him.What!!!!!???????!!!!!!! You couldn't ask for a bigger miracle than that!!! We still haven't been able to MEET with them, but hopefully with the primary activities and ward BBQ coming up, we'll be able to set up a time to talk to them and share our message with them! Exciting!!!!!
Anyways, that's the story of the week. I'm still enjoying life, and really enjoying my gospel study time. It's incredible what you can learn from the scriptures, if you set aside the time to do it.
About coming home, I think I'm coming home in July. July 24th? Sorry, I don't have a calendar in front of me. But it'll be the second to last Friday of the month. They haven't told me officially, but that's my guess.
